Ghost Hunting

Enjoy The Ghost Hunting Experience

The upsurge in popularity for ghost hunting and the paranormal in general has been spurred on by the massive number of reality shows and films that are made based on this same topic. Viewers are invited to witness paranormal goings on in various locations, some of them seemingly innocent and some of them steeped in local lore and carrying paranormal reputations. This popularity has spread out of the living room and away from the TV into the shape of amateur and professionally arranged ghost hunting trips.

The Location

Ghost hunting events tend to take place around historical buildings and locations because these are the ones with the longest history. Dungeons, castles, and even nuclear bunkers are also popular because of the atrocities and incidents that are believed to have occurred in them in the past.

Paranormal Weekends

As well as trips that last a couple of hours, it is also possible to enjoy paranormal weekends that give you a real insight into the paranormal goings on in a particular location. Weekends like this can also include some elements of education and learning the art of ghost hunting making them even more involved and informational.

The Guide

When choosing a ghost hunting event to go on, choosing one with a knowledgeable and skilful guide is also an important factor in ensuring that you get the most from the experience. Proper ghost hunting is an applied science and some of the best proponents have been studying the paranormal for ten, twenty, or even more years.

Corporate Entertainment And Events

As well as individuals and groups that are inquisitive of the paranormal, ghost hunting experiences can prove an excellent way to offer something unusual for a corporate event. Overnight investigations are especially popular and typically take place in some of the most haunted locations in the UK.

Memorable Parties And Occasions

Ghost hunting has become incredibly popular in recent years and not just on TV and in films, but for parties, experiences, and corporate events. Make any party, event, or occasion extra special and more memorable with a ghost hunting experience or a paranormal weekend.

Ghost Hunters – a review

I just started watching Ghost Hunters on a regular basis two seasons ago. Sometimes, the show truly fascinates me. How can anyone forget that strange feeling when a voice tells ghost hunter Grant, ‘You don’t belong here’. Now that was spooky! It was clear as day, and that is the type of moment that I watch the show for.

The appeal of Ghost Hunters is its two common place plumbers – Grant and Jason, who both still work for Roto Rooter while going all across the country on debunking missions for the company they founded called T.A.P.S. These average guys have started a phenomenon that has grown big time. That said, sometimes I just get tired of the sameness.

Things I can’t stand:

-During the investigations, they all talk too much. They need to listen more, and why is it that when they are there looking for ghosts and they ask a question, that when something happens right after that, they ask, ‘what was that’? There’s just a weird disconnect between their reason for being there and how they are in the investigations.

-There’s too much review from the end of prior segment to the start of the next segment. Let’s see more of the investigations and less recapping that takes up a third of the show.

-During the review, they find things but don’t show us what they are. What’s the purpose of this segment? To give more screen time to Steve and Tango who do the reviews? There’s no reason for this bit, and they’re so dang polite and formal with each other.

-At the end of each ‘reveal’, Jason always says, ‘Let’s get out of here’. Number one, that’s rude, and number two, it seems odd that anyone would say that exact phrase every single job.

-At the end of each show, Grant and Jason leave in their vehicle. Jason *always* drives. Grant doesn’t have a license?

-Again at the end of every episode, they say the exact same thing. They go through a brief summary, talking about how so and so took it well and how they did such a great job (they always do a great job), and then Jason says ‘And on to the next’, after which the two men do a fist-jab. Every single week, it’s the same thing.

Things I like:

-You don’t belong here. Those moments make this show. Unfortunately, they’re rare, but when they happen, they sure are great.

I realize my list is weighted heavily towards what I don’t like, but that is the truth of this show. More and more I’m frustrated by the wasted time, and there’s a lot of it, and I’m annoyed by the repetitive dialog. I just don’t buy it. I want some spontaneity that shows this show isn’t a rip off. I still like Ghost Hunters, but I’m glued to it. It’s interesting, but not always compelling.

How to Capture a Ghost on Camera

People are skeptics by nature, if it is not right in front of your face with the proof in hand, usually no one believes it. Paranormal Investigators go out in this field trying to capture ghosts whether it be on film, video or recorder to prove that ghost do exist.

A haunting is very unpredictable, someone can experience what they think is paranormal activity for weeks but when a team of investigators with all of their recording equipment there may be little or no activity at all.

If you want to catch a ghost, you will need to do some homework, find a place that is said to be really haunted and people have had some kind of paranormal experience there, There are a few types of places you will want to check out, old historical places usually have the best activity, usually because in these old places there is so much human emotion tied to the place, spirits tend to linger in places that they once loved when they were alive. A place of sudden death or where someone had committed suicide, death that is sudden and when people are taken out of this world fast, this tends to trigger a haunting. A place of the dead like a cemetery is usually a good place to get activity, and sometimes at haunted locations human remains are found.

When you get to the place you are wanting to investigate, make sure you talk to the owner or person in charge that is familiar with the activity in the location so that you can set up your cameras in these known “hot spots”. In each of these “hot spots” set up your digital camera on a tripod.

Making sure your equipment is clean is also important, there have been lots of times people have mistaken dirt or dust for a ghost when in reality it was just a dusty lens, Investigators find themselves in all kinds of places so it is important to keep the equipment clean at all times, especially right before an investigation.

Be careful of the light around you, sometimes a street light, flashlight or a car passing by can get in the way of your camera, this is what we call lens flare. Lens flare is when the light ahead of the camera coming from any position runs across the lens and creates a skim this will cause streaks, fog looking images that sometimes can be mistaken for a ghostly image, It is easy to do.

In my experience it is not impossible to catch a ghost on camera, it has been done. By allowing your equipment to record for long enough in a paranormal “hot spot”, and then carefully go over all of your evidence, you can capture a real ghost on camera.

The Ghostly Stories Of Ghost Whisperer

For the last three and half years, people have been tuning in every Friday night to see what Ghost Whisperer will present next. Ghost Whisperer stars Jennifer Love Hewitt (Melinda) and David Conrad (Jim). The creators of Ghost Whisperer get their inspiration from real life ghost chaser Mary Ann Winowski. Mary Ann sees ghosts, as does the star of the show Melinda. She helps ghosts cross over to the other side.

Melinda encounters a different ghost every week. Each ghost has a different reason as to why they have not crossed over yet. Some of the ghosts are nasty and some are passive, but want to resolve some issues before they leave this world. Melinda has a special gift that allows her to see and talk to the ghosts. She helps them resolve their issues and then they go into the light to cross over.

The show has become popular because of the interesting story lines, but also because of the incredible chemistry between Melinda and her husband Jim. They are a beautiful couple and David Conrad (Jim) is so nice to watch on TV. He supports his wife’s gift and tries to help her when he can.

Season 4 has bought some talk about David Conrad leaving Ghost Whisperer, which has created a buzz around the Internet. The story line is changing for Conrad and everyone is watching closely to see if David Conrad leaving Ghost Whisperer or is he going to be a ghost and refuse to cross over.

As of today, David Conrad is dead and he refuses to cross over. He is still on the show, but the viewers want to know what is to happen to David Conrad on Ghost Whisperer. This is heating up Friday nights. If you have not seen this show, you should at least once. You will be hooked just like everyone else.

In season 4, Jay Mohr left Ghost Whisperer to star in his own show, “Gary Unmarried,” and Jamie Kennedy took his place. Camryn Manheim joined the cast in season 2 as Melinda’s business partner at the antique store. Camryn is Delia and has a son Ned, who we see from time to time.

Spirit and ghost haunts

The existence of 2 (two) kinds of dimension that is the spirit dimension to the human spirit is still alive and dimension to the human spirit that has died (the discussion of chapter 1 of my book) as written in the Koran (Sura) 39:42 could also mean that the dead man’s spirit no roaming either 1 day or 40 days around the house as it is believed some people but was in another place apart from everyday human life. In the Qur’an described the existence of such a dividing wall which imprison the human spirit that has died. Read on →

Is it the Spirit (Spirit)?
October 31, 2007 ·

Spirit also called the soul (nafs) or spirits is a vocabulary derived from the Arabic language al-ruh (meaning catch up, if I already know. Anyone know?).

Actually what is the spirit? Although our knowledge of the spirit is a bit (following Quranic verse), I think it does not hurt if we try to discuss the knowledge neighbor spirit that “little” is, as long as the discussion is limited to the properties of spirit is not about “what matter” of the spirit. I’m trying to do is make an approaches to facilitate my understanding of spirit as I mentioned in Chapter 1 of my book, that the human body consists of two elements, namely the element of physical / material and elements that are not really what the spirit?
